Get to know Jerry Vessell

Jerry Vessell entered the life insurance profession after graduating from The University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science inMathematics. Jerry founded his first insurance corporation (Vessell and Associates) in Nashville, Tennessee in 1980 with the objective of designing benefit packages for medical professionals. He began his career working with certified registered nurse anesthetists and eventually began teaching financial planning to anesthetists at THE EARLANGER SCHOOL OF CRNAS in Chattanooga, TN. That same year, he became a corporate advisor with Manufacture's Life Insurance Company and served on the President's Council from 1982 through 1995. In 1996 Manufacturers Life demutualized and terminated their agency system. Jerry then became a financial professional with Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (Springfield, MA 01111). He began offering their wide range of protection products and retirement strategies and services. In 1996. Jerry was one of the founding members of the BLUE-CHIP Council (an elite group of producers). Jerry earned the exclusive honor of Top of the Council, (which recognizes its top 1% of financial professionals in thecompany) in the years 2001, 2003 through 2017. In 2005, Jerry was a distinguished recipient of the ELIF (Exceptional Level ofInsurance in Force) Award. This award recognizes excellence and consistency in the life insurance industry. Jerry has been featured inseveral articles in physician service magazines.

Jerry recognized that his company was growing at a rapid rate in Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia. The needs of his clients werequicky evolving. In 2005 Vessell and Associates decided to establish and trademark       Wellness Financial Advisors in Nashville, TN. The purpose of this company was to design and implement comprehensive financial plans for medical professionals. Jerry had been working with the firm, MOORE/CONSTANT, LLC. In Atlanta, GA. to assist him in growing his practice in Georgia and Alabama.

Due to the continued growth in the south, Jerry decided to sell Wellness Financial Advisors, LLC to the investment advisor at Wellness in 2019. Jerry continued his working relationship with MOORE/CONSTANT. Jerry is known for working with this team in implementing tax strategies to minimize taxes during wealth accumulation and retirement. Servicing his clients in person and knowing their families has brought his practice to a new forefront. Jerry takes pride in viewing his clients as friends, and he intends to maintain Vessell and Associates reputation through hard work and personalized service.

Jerry and his wife Rhonda reside in Brentwood, Tennessee. His company has a place in Atlanta, GA. where he lives while servicing his clients in the south. He has three children who have all graduated from college, and are eachpursuing their own careers. His passions include his faith, spending time with his family, and his work. He enjoys golfing and pheasant hunting. Jerry and Rhonda also support the work of Interfaith Dental Clinic. They also support the 413 STRONG Organization, a faith-based organization supporting young men needing guidance. They are members of The Nashville Symphony and support the betterment of the arts. Jerry established a scholarshipfund at his high school alma mater (in Jerry's parent's name). This scholarship applies funds to a senior going to college. They are active members of Brentwood Baptist Church.
